Men's Track & Field Sends Three To NCAA Division II Indoor Championships

MIDLAND, MICH. – The Northwood University men's track & field teams will send three athletes to compete in a total of four events at the 2020 NCAA Division II Indoor Track & Field Championships.
The field was announced Tuesday (March 3). The event will take place March 13-14 in Birmingham, Alabama.
Sophomore Josiah Morse (800 meters), Mason Phillips (60 meters/200 meters) and Xzavia Price (60 meters) will all take part in the championships.
Morse enters the championships ranked No. 11 in the 800 meter run. He clocked a 1:51.05 at the GVSU Big Meet February 14 to earn a spot in the event.
Phillips just clocked his times Sunday (March 1) at the GLIAC Championships. He ran a 6.65 in the 60 and a 20.76 in the 200 to win both events. His time in the 200 is ranked No. 1 in the country and is the second-fastest ever in NCAA Division II history. Phillips stands second in the 60 heading into the championships.
Price placed second behind Phillips in the 60 at the GLIAC Championships with a time of 6.78. That time ranks him 15th in the event.
