Track & Field Has 10 Athletes Earn USTFCCCA All-Academic Honors
NEW ORLEANS, LA. – The 2022 Northwood University men's and women's track & field teams placed 10 athletes on the United States Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association's (USTFCCCA) All-Academic list for the 2021-22 indoor and outdoor seasons.
In order to qualify for All-Academic distinction, the student-athlete must have a minimum cumulative grade point average of 3.25 on a 4.0 scale through the end of the semester of competition. Athletes must also have completed at least 24 semester hours/36 quarter hours through the end of the semester of competition at the institution.
In regards to transfer and graduate students, student-athlete grades must be earned at the current nominating institution.
An athlete's performance is also taken into consideration by achieving an automatic or provisional qualifying mark (individual or relay event) for either the indoor season or outdoor season.
The men's track & field team finished with a cumulative 3.155 GPA and produced nine athletes making the All-Academic list, while the women's team finished with a 3.245 cumulative GPA and added one athlete.
