Men's Cross Country Travels South To Compete At Live In Lou Classic
OVERVIEW – LIVE IN LOU CLASSIC
LOCATION: E.P. Tom Sawyer State Park – Louisville, Ky.
RECAP: Northwood men's cross embarked on their southern swing, traveling to Louisville, Ky. To compete at the Live In Lou Classic hosted by Louisville on Saturday (September 30).
INSIDE THE MEN'S RACE (8,000 METERS)
- A total of 39 teams and 378 racers competed in Louisville as Northwood took 28th with 723 points (pts.). The Timberwolves finished just behind conference member Cedarville (27th – 716 pts.) and ahead of Queens (29th – 747 pts.), Memphis (31st – 838 pts.) and Malone (32nd – 899 pts.)
- Carson Laney led all Timberwolves with a 25-second personal record (PR). Laney finished 117th overall with a time of 25:08.4. This is the second straight meet that Laney has turned in a PR in the 8K.
- Northwood's 10 racers finished with an average time of 25:24.50 as Josh Jones (131st – 25:14.9) and Preston Earl (140th – 25:17.4) rounded out NU's top three.
