RECAP: Softball loses pair in Florida, dropping a 5-2 contest to Rockhurst before falling to 5-1 to Sioux Falls Tuesday afternoon (March 12).

ROCKHURST HIGHLIGHTS

• Northwood took an early lead in the game in the top of the first inning on a fielder's choice by Abby Joseph that scored Maddie Coulter.
• After the Hawks tied the game in the fourth, Northwood went back on top in the fifth on a Torriya Gray-Baker double to give NU a 2-1 lead.
• Rockhurst responded in the fifth and sixth innings, scoring three in the fifth and one in the sixth.
• Northwood got the tying run to the plate in the seventh but were held off the board.

• The score remained 3-1 until the top of the seventh when the Cougars could out the scoring on a two-run homer.
