MIDLAND, MICH. – The Northwood University softball team has been picked to finish third in the Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC) by the coaches in its annual preseason poll, the league announced Tuesday (February 4).

Northwood had 48 points in the poll and received one first place vote. Grand Valley State is the favorite at 64 points and eight first place votes, followed by Saginaw Valley at 49.

The Timberwolves will open their season in Puerto Rico for three games, started Wednesday (February 5) with a single game against Ana G. Mendez.
