'Ship Bound - Softball Advances To G-MAC Championship With 2-0 Shutout Of Cedarville

RECAP: Northwood softball advanced to the G-MAC Championship Friday (May 3) with a 2-0 shutout win over 6-seed Cedarville. Cox threw her fifth shutout of the season, earning her third win of the tournament during the game.
GAME ONE HIGHLIGHTS
- The Timberwolves capitalized on a controversial overthrow from Cedarville in the third. With Gabby Schloop on first stealing second a groundball to second was overthrown which brought Schloop around to score, 1-0 NU.
- One pitch later, Ashley Ziel's double over the center fielder's glove brought Ashlyn Lundquist home for a 2-0 lead.
- Emily Cox then did what she does and threw a complete game shutout to send Northwood to the G-MAC Championship on Saturday (May 4). Cox earned her 18th win of the season in the 2-0 victory.
