Bio

The 2016 season will be Meaggan Pettipiece's 10th as the head coach of the Northwood softball program.

Over her nine seasons as head coach, the Timberwolves have posted a 201-199 record. NU has reached the GLIAC Tournament eight times under Pettipiece. NU has featured 34 All-GLIAC performers and five All-Region honorees (Marisa Borkowski, Michelle Boscola, Stacy Klonowski, Jessica Tostrud, Sam Zaborowski).

Pettipiece came to Northwood after spending six seasons as an assistant coach at California (PA). While at California, Pettipiece was a part of a staff that won three straight Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference West Division titles. The Vulcans also made appearances in the NCAA Tournament a total of four times. During her time as an assistant, California went 175-65 (.729).

Prior to her coaching career, Pettipiece started in centerfield for the Vulcans in 1998 and 1999. She was a key component in California's national championship in 1998. A two-time All-American, Pettipiece twice earned First Team All-PSAC and Mid-Atlantic Region honors as well. She was inducted in the California University Hall of Fame in 2005.

A native of Blenheim, Ontario, Pettipiece also brings a wealth of international experience from her playing days with the Canadian National Team. She played outfield for Team Canada during the 2000 Olympics in Sydney and was an alternate for the 2004 team in Greece. Pettipiece also earned a pair of silver medals at the Pan-Am Games (1999, 2003). In all, Pettipiece played with the national team for seven years (1998-2004).

Pettipiece married her husband Brady in October of 2004. The family has three sons - Cooper, Chase,C.J and one daughter - Chloe.
