Track & Field Concludes Week Competing At Michigan And GVSU
OVERVIEW
MEET: EXTRA WEEKEND MEET / LEN PADDOCK OPEN

RECAP: Northwood track & field continued their outdoor season this weekend with meets at GVSU (April 24) and Michigan (April 27).

EXTRA WEEKEND MEET
FOR THE MEN
- Blake Vier earned a second place finish in the 110m hurdles, finishing in 14.36.
- Carson Laney ran a sub-4 1500m for the first time in his career, finishing in 3:59.38. His teammate Jackson Turnbow also ran a lifetime best of 4:01.59 during the event as well.
- Preston Earl was Northwood's top placer in the 1500m race, finishing in 3:54.24.
- Arthur Powell IV placed 12th in the 100m dash. The sophomore finished at 11.06.
FOR THE WOMEN
- Keiyera Johnson placed second in the 100m hurdles with a 15.51 mark.
- Jenna Gaul's team-best time of 1:05.84 during the 400m hurdles earned the Timberwolf a fourth place finish. She moves into fourth on NU's top-10 list for the 400m hurdles.
- Ariel Warner ran a lifetime best of 2:19.98 during the 800m race. Her time puts her eighth on NU's top-10 list for the 800m.
- In the 1500m, Katherine Haupt's season-best time of 4:49.63 placed her 21st among 72 runners in the event.
- Rachael Sierakowski ran a personal best of 18:34.91 in the 5000m. Her teammate, Alyssa Dorn, also ran a PR of 19:31.77 in the 1500m sections.
- In the 3000m steeplechase, Kaylee Aultman ran a 22-second PR to finish in 12:49.29. She has improved her ninth-best time in program history.
LEN PADDOCK OPEN
FOR THE MEN
- Matheu Morrison won the 110m hurdle event with a 13.98 finish. His 13.98 mark is 13th in DII this season, clearing the NCAA Provisional mark in the process. Morrison set his new PR at 14.03 during prelims, which is fourth all-time on NU's top-10 list.
- Sebastian Tesch took the crown in the hammer throw with a 64.34m toss on his final attempt.
- Luke Eros set PRs in both the shot put (15.05m) and hammer throw (51.20m). His shot put is 10th on NU's top-10 all-time list.
- Powell IV ran a 10.70 PR 100m dash during the 100m finals to take seventh overall. His mark is t-10th all-time on NU's 100m list. He also took ninth in the 200m with a 21.85 finish.
- Blake Vier took fourth in the 110m hurdles with a time of 14.43.
- Jacob Pierce set a new PR for the javelin (47.17m) and hammer throw (36.34m). He is now 10th in javelin on NU's all-time list.
FOR THE WOMEN
- Emily Stinson took seventh in the discus (39.86m PR), sixth in the hammer throw (47.17m PR), and fifth in the shot put (12.06m). Stinson is now fifth on NU's top-10 list for the hammer throw.
- Kelsey Hansen placed third in discus (43.32m PR) and fifth in the hammer throw (47.84m). Her discus toss makes her third all-time on NU's top-10 list for the discus.
- Keiyera Johnson placed fourth in the long jump with a team-best jump of 5.29m jump. Teammate Gabby Jones took ninth with a leap of 4.95m.
- Jones also placed fourth in the 400m hurdles with a season-best time of 1:05.76.
