Nemecek Earns G-MAC Athlete Of The Week For The Northwood Throws Squad

G-MAC ATHLETES OF THE WEEK

INDIANAPOLIS, IND. - Will Nemecek of the Northwood men's track & field team earned Field Athlete of the Week from the Great Midwest Athletic Conference (G-MAC) Monday (February 24). It's his first career Athlete of the Week honor and the second honor for a track & field athlete this season.

Nemecek reset his program record for the indoor shot put at Saginaw Valley St. Tune-Up meet Friday (February 21). The senior hit 18.09m to improve his NCAA Provisional mark and tenth-best mark in DII this season.

Northwood men's and women's track & field head to the Great Midwest Indoor Championships at Ashland on February 28 - March 1.
