Women's Basketball Loses At No. 3 Ashland 81-58

RECAP: No. 3 Ashland takes control in the second and third quarters in 81-58 win over Northwood women's basketball Thursday night (January 23).
FIRST QUARTER
- The opening quarter was fast-paced and wide open.
- Northwood scored the first three points of the game, only to see the Eagles respond with a big run, scoring 16 of the next 18 points to go up 16-5.
- NU responded with eight straight points to cut the margin to 13 before the Eagles eventually led 26-20 after one.
- Northwood was 8-18 from the floor in the first quarter (44.4 percent) while going 4-6 from 3-point range (66.7 percent).
- Ashland went 11-18 overall in the first (61.1 percent).
SECOND QUARTER
- Ashland pushed their advantage out to 41-22 with 4:13 remaining in the second quarter.
