RECAP: Northwood women's basketball extends its win streak to seven games with a 79-60 win over Walsh Saturday afternoon (February 24).
GAME STORY
- Northwood started the game red-hot, putting up the first 14 points of the game.
- Walsh responded, cutting the lead down to 22-13 after the opening quarter.
- The Cavaliers scored the first eight points of the second quarter to get the Northwood lead all the way down to one at 22-21.
- WU was unable to gain the lead, however, Northwood pushed their lead back up to as many as 17 before leading 42-26 at the break.
- Walsh again fought back, cutting the lead down to eight in the third.
- Northwood eventually led 60-48 heading to the final quarter.
- The Cavaliers trailed 68-60 when the Timberwolves scored four points in 10 seconds to get the advantage back up to 72-60.
- That started an 11-0 run to finish the game, giving Northwood the victory.
