Women's Golf Breaks Several School Records At Northwood Invitational

RECAP: Northwood broke several school records while placing second at their lone home event of the year, the Northwood Invitational Monday and Tuesday (October 3-4).

INSIDE THE EVENT

  • Northwood shot team scores of 306-307 to finish with a score of 613, good for second place overall.
  • Findlay was the overall winner at 586 with scores of 290-286.
  • A total of 11 teams took part in the tournament.

TOP NU PERFORMERS

  • Danielle Little: 74-72=146 – tied for second overall
  • Grace Cannon: 74-77=151 – tied for eighth overall
  • Ali Martus: 77-78=155 – tied for 14th overall
  • Shelby Warner of Findlay was the overall winner at 144 (73-71)
  • A total of 64 players competed in the tournament

NORTHWOOD NOTES

  • Northwood's first round team total of 306 matched the lowest single-round score in team history, tying the mark set March 24, 2007 at the NKU Spring Invitational.
  • NU's two-day total of 613 breaks the Northwood record for lowest 36-hole tournament score, besting the old mark of 616 at the NKU Spring Invitational March 24-25, 2007.
  • Little's 36-hole total of 146 is also a new individual school record, breaking the old mark of 150 set by Jamie Long at the NKU Spring Invitational March 24-25, 2007.
