INSIDE THE GAME

  • Ohio Dominican opened the scoring just minutes into the contest when Madison Baldwin found the back of the net for the Panthers making it 1-0.
  • The Timberwolves were able to respond and net the equalizer at the 15:55 mark on a penalty kick goal by Allison Carroll. The penalty kick was set up by Savannah King who drew the foul on Ohio Dominican in the box.
  • After an action packed start to the match, the two sides leveled off and the first half came to an end all tied up at one a piece.
  • The two teams continued the steady battle throughout the second half but neither team was able to break through, resulting in a 1-1 tie at the end of regulation.
  • The first overtime session saw the Panthers out-shoot the Timberwolves 6-0 but solid goalkeeping by Samantha Cook extended the match as the first overtime session concluded with the score remaining 1-1.
  • In the second overtime period, Ohio Dominican was able to break through and score a goal, capping the victory for the Panthers and ending the Northwood season.
