RECAP: Northwood earns dramatic 3-2 overtime win over Parkside 3-2 Sunday (October 20).
GAME HIGHLIGHTS
- Jessica Piper got Northwood started at 16:39 by finishing off Lauren Way's pass across the box to give the Timberwolves a 1-0 lead over the Rangers that they would hold going into the break. NU held at 7-3 edge in shots in the half.
- The Rangers responded in the second half with a strong performance. Parkside netted goals at 71:57 and 78:11 to take a 2-1 lead.
- Northwood came up with the equalizer with 2:42 left in the contest. Juliana Paoletti headed Piper's corner kick into the back of the net to even the score at 2-2 and force overtime.
- With 3:04 left in the first overtime period, Way found the back of the net to clinch the Northwood win in dramatic fashion. Her second career goal went over the keeper from the right side. Jillian Hon earned the assist on the game-winner.
