Wallace Adds Late Goal As Women's Soccer Takes Draw Versus Malone

LOCATION: King Field – Canton, Ohio

RECAP: The Northwood women's soccer team began GMAC play Saturday with a 1-1 draw at Malone. The late-game goals by both teams forced both sides to play a little sporadic in the final 10 minutes.

GAME HIGHLIGHTS

• Northwood's statically dominated the game outshooting the pioneers 24-11 and 16-4 in the second half.
• The Intensity ratcheted up a couple of notches in the second half. Northwood's 16 shots were the most in a half this season.
•  A shot by NU in the 80' resulted in a corner taken by Savannah Wallace. Wallace's cross to the center was headed back out her way. A cheeky play by Wallace in the corner saw the goalie pull her way towards the action. Wallace would then loft a kick to the other side of the net over two Malone defenders, 1-0 NU.
• Malone would strike back quickly in the 85' forcing the game to end in a draw, 1-1.
