Jacob Earns G-MAC Defensive Player of The Week Honors

G-MAC ATHLETES OF THE WEEK

INDIANAPOLIS, IND. - Lindsay Jacob earned defensive player of the week from the Great Midwest Athletic Conference (G-MAC) this week, Monday (September 18). This is her first career athlete of the week honor and the first for a women's soccer player this season.

Jacob pushed the Timberwolves to a 2-0 mark last week with the first shutout victory of her career over Lake Erie. She collected 11 saves during the two matches, including eight in Northwood's 3-2 victory over (RV) Cedarville. Northwood's goalkeeper currently leads the conference in saves this season with 32.

Women's soccer is currently 3-2-1 and 2-0 in the G-MAC with a two-match road trip starting Thursday (September 21) with Kentucky Wesleyan on the horizon. They first visit Owensboro for a match beginning at 5 P.M. CT/ 6 P.M. ET before traveling further south to Nashville for a showdown with Trevecca starting at noon CT/ 1 P.M. ET on Saturday (September 23).
