Jackson and Women's Soccer Earn Big Road Win Over Findlay, 1-0

RECAP: Women's soccer traveled to Findlay for a showdown with the current four-seed Oilers. They would grab their 12th win of the season, the second most in program history, 1-0 over the Oilers.

GAME HIGHLIGHTS

  •  The first half was a battle for both teams to gain possession. Teams combined for six shots total with the Oilers having the advantage 4-2 and having the lone shot that was on target. They also had the edge 2-1 in corner opportunities.
  •  Moving to the second half, Mari Jackson took advantage of a deflected ball out in front of the Findlay box. Her line drive into the lower left corner gave Northwood the 1-0 lead in the 60'.
  • The Oilers tried to follow the goal, outshooting the Oilers 10-3 in the second half going into the 83'.
  • Northwood's defense continued to force the Oilers into bad shots. UF finished the match with four shots on goal, but Lindsay Jacob would earn her sixth clean sheet of the season. Northwood prevailed 1-0 in the battle of two top-four conference teams.
  • The Timberwolves' 1.06 goals against average (GAA) is fourth in the G-MAC and is on pace to break the school record of 1.22 GAA (2002).
