Women's Tennis Defeats Ashland 7-2

The Northwood University women's tennis team took another step towards a GLIAC Championship Friday afternoon (October 11) with a 7-2 victory over Ashland.

The Timberwolves are now 12-0 overall and in the GLIAC.  Ashland falls to 6-7 overall and in the GLIAC.

Northwood came out strong in doubles, winning all of the matches to go up 3-0 heading into singles.  The Timberwolves eventually won four of the six singles matches despite Northwood's number one player, Darina Berkova, sitting out singles.

On the day, Anastasiia Kazub, Anna Aniskina and Margarita Asatryan each went 2-0 on the day.

Northwood will travel to Tiffin for a matchup of the top two teams in the GLIAC Saturday (October 12).  Match time is set for 10 a.m.
