Danijela Danilovic Secures Her First Career Athlete of the Week
MIDLAND, MICH. – Danijela Danilovic, a sophomore from the Northwood University women's tennis team, has been named the Great Midwest Athletic Conference (G-MAC) Women's Tennis Athlete of the Week. The conference made the announcement Monday (April 15). This is Danilovic's first career Athlete of the Week honor and the second one for the women's tennis team this season (Platsiota, April 1).
Danilovic went 4-0 combined in singles and doubles from the No. 2 singles and No. 3 doubles positions. She is currently 16-1 in singles and on an eight-match win streak. Danilovic and her doubles partner, Brigitte Gomez, are 8-2 and have won six in a row. Danilovic has yet to lose a match in conference play this season sitting at 13-0.
The Timberwolves went 1-1 last week with a win against #48 Findlay and a loss to #24 Tiffin. Northwood closes the regular season out this weekend with a trip to Walsh (April 20) and Ursuline (April 21)
