Northwood Throwers Compete At Hillsdale Wide Track Classic

OVERVIEW – HILLSDALE WIDE TRACK CLASSIC

RECAP: The Northwood University throwers competed at the Hillsdale Wide Track Classic Friday  (February 6)

INSIDE THE MEET – MEN

• The Timberwolves continued their strong season in the shot put, taking the top three positions. Travis Schepers was the overall winner with an NCAA Provisional mark of 16.57 meters. He was followed by Hunter Berecz (16.49 meters) and Zecharia Stickler (16.04 meters). Schepers and Berecz are each ranked in the top-20 nationally in the event.
• Nathan Powers placed third in the weight throw with a toss of 16.82 meters.

INSIDE THE MEET – WOMEN

• Jessica Kursinsky put up her third NCAA Provisional mark in the shot put already this season, placing second overall with a toss of 13.80 meters.
• Jessica Marvin was second in the weight throw with a toss of 16.19 meters.

• Northwood will head to the GVSU Big Meet February 12-13.
