Volleyball Earns UMSC/AVCA Team Academic Award

USMC/AVCA Team Academic Award Release

LEXINGTON, KY. - The Northwood University women's volleyball team has earned the Team Academic Award from the American Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA) and the United States Marine Corps (USMC).

The USMC/AVCA Team Academic Award was initiated in the 1992-93 academic year, honors volleyball teams that maintain a year-long grade-point average of 3.30 on a 4.0 scale or 4.10 on a 5.0 scale.

Northwood finished the year with a 3.419 team GPA to earn the award.

The Timberwolves are coming off a breakthrough spring season. One year after going 5-22, the Timberwolves went 9-6 overall, 8-4 in the GLIAC.
