INSIDE THE MATCH
- The Flyers took control of the opening set holding a slim 12-10 lead. LU scored 12 of the next 16 points to go up 24-14 on their way to a 25-15 win. Lewis held the edge offensively in the opening set, hitting .324 (15-3-37) while holding Northwood to a .000 mark (8-8-39).
- Northwood controlled the majority of the first set and were one point away from taking the second set at 24-20. But Lewis' Juliana Van Loo took over at that point, registering six consecutive kills to close out a comeback 26-24 win to lead 2-0. Both teams had big hitting sets in the second – the Flyers finished at .421 (20-4-38) while the Timberwolves hit .324 (15-3-37).
- NU led 6-4 in the third set when the Flyers made the final big push to close out the sweep. Lewis scored eight straight points to go up 12-6. NU got no closer than three the rest of the way. The Timberwolves hit well in the final set loss, finishing at .310 (10-1-29). The Flyers had another strong hitting set, finishing at .353 (16-4-34).
