Volleyball Drops 3-1 Match To Hillsdale
OVERVIEW – HILLSDALE
SCORE: Hillsdale Chargers 3, Northwood Timberwolves 1 (15-25, 25-23, 25-22, 25-13)
RECORDS: Northwood 14-7, 5-3 G-MAC / Hillsdale 14-3, 7-1 G-MAC

RECAP: Northwood volleyball starts fast but drops a 3-1 match to G-MAC leader Hillsdale Saturday (October 26).
INSIDE THE MATCH
- Northwood took the lead for good in the opening at 3-2. The Timberwolves pushed their lead all the way up to 9-3 to force a Charger timeout. Hillsdale got within three twice, but that proved to be as close as they would get. NU led by as many as 12 before taking the opening set 25-15.
- The second set was tight throughout – the largest lead for either team was three points. The Timberwolves were close to taking a 2-0 lead, holding a 23-21 lead late in the frame. The Chargers responded by scoring the final four points of the set to win 25-23 and level the match overall at 1-1.
- An early 4-0 run for the Chargers put Hillsdale on top for good at 10-6. The Timberwolves chipped away at the lead, eventually getting within one at 23-22. But the Chargers finished off the set by taking the final two points to win the third 25-22 and take a 2-1 overall lead.
- Hillsdale scored five of the first six points of the fourth set and did not look back. NU trailed 11-7 when the Chargers scored eight of the next 10 to go up 19-9. Hillsdale went on to close out the 3-1 victory with a 25-13 fourth-set victory.
