Men's Cross Country Moves Up To No. 9 In USTFCCCA Midwest Regional Rankings

NEW ORLEANS, LA. - The Northwood men's cross country team moved up to No. 9 in the United States Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) Division II Midwest Regional Rankings. The USTFCCCA rankings were released on Tuesday (October 1).
Grand Valley State stayed in at No. 1 and Lewis one spot behind at No. 2. Northwood was one of four Great Midwest Athletic Conference (G-MAC) teams that appeared on the list, including Findlay at No. 5, Walsh at No. 7, and Hillsdale at No. 8.
In their recent race at the Lock Haven Invite (September 28) hosted by Lock Haven, Northwood's top eight men competed, taking fourth out of 26 teams with 111 points. Preston Earl (25:07.3) and Carson Laney (25:17.5) led the Timberwolves, taking 13th and 16th respectively out of 229 athletes.
Northwood men's and women's cross country head to the Lewis Crossover October 12. The races are set to be held at the Lewis Cross Country Course in Romeoville, Ill.
