Northwood University Athletic Events This Weekend

MIDLAND, MICH. – This weekend, the Northwood University Men's Soccer team will be hosting Saginaw Valley State in the 2014 NCAA Tournament on Sunday at 1 p.m. The Women's Basketball team will also be hosting the GLIAC/GLVC Challenge, as Northwood and Saginaw Valley will be representing the GLIAC against Lewis and St. Joseph's from the GLVC. The Football team will host the final game of the season against Malone on Saturday. "The Den" tailgate begins at 10 a.m. while kickoff is at 1 p.m.

The Men's Basketball team opens up the regular season at Saginaw Valley for the GLIAC/GLVC Challenge against Bellarmine and St. Joseph's of the GLVC.

Season-Long Promotions:

  • NU PUNCH CARD: Turn in your NU Punch Card after attending ten (10) home athletic events and receive a FREE prize. Also enter for a chance at winning the GRAND PRIZE! 

  • "SELFIE": Take a 'selfie' with the playing field in the background at each home game. Post 'selfie' to #NUSelfie and the best post of the week will receive a special prize! Check out social media channels for more details.

Wednesday, November 12:

  • Men's Basketball - JV travels to Mott (7:30 p.m.) - LISTEN LIVE - #NUJVMBB

Friday, November 14:

  • Men's Basketball travels to SVSU in GLIAC/GLVC Challenge vs. Bellarmine (7:30 p.m.) - LIVE STATS - #NUMBB

    • Tickets are $7  
    • All NU students get a FREE ticket with a Northwood Student ID!
    • Friday night will be Battle of the Registered Student Organizations on campus! The RSO that brings the most members to the game will be in the running for a FREE Pizza Party
    • A FREE Pizza Party will be given to the RSO or Residence Hall that tallies the most students represented on their winning night!Be sure you sign in at the ticket table each night

 

 

Saturday, November 15:

  • Men's Basketball travels to SVSU in GLIAC/GLVC Challenge vs. St. Joe's (5:30 p.m.) - LIVE STATS - #NUMBB

  •  
    • Tickets are $7  
    • All NU students get a FREE ticket with a Northwood Student ID!
    • Saturday night will be Battle of the Residence Halls on campus! The hall that brings the most members to the game will be in the running for a FREE Pizza Party
    • A FREE Pizza Party will be given to the RSO or Residence Hall that tallies the most students represented on their winning night!Be sure you sign in at the ticket table each night
  •  
    • Tickets are $7  
    • All NU students get a FREE ticket with a Northwood Student ID!
    • Community Organizations in a group of 15 or more will receive $5 General Admission tickets
    • Northwood Seniors will be presented before the game
    • Win a FREE Smoothie from Tropical Smoothie Café on S. Saginaw Rd. behind Walgreens
    • All fans that would like to meet the players are encouraged to stay after the game

 

Sunday, November 9:

  • #15 Men's Soccer hosts #21 Saginaw Valley in NCAA Tournament (1:00 p.m.) - LIVE STATS - VIDEO - #NUMSOC
