Marek Kolar earned All-America honors all four years of his career at Northwood. He was named the ITA Division II National Senior Player of the Year in 2000. A four-time First Team All-GLIAC honoree, Kolar finished his career with an overall record of 226-51 (.816). He was also named the Regional Rookie of the Year in 1997 and was a five-time winner of the Rolex Mid-American Tournament (three times in singles, twice in doubles). Kolar was a two-time GLIAC Player of the Year (1998, 1999) and was the Arthur Ashe Sportsmanship Award winner for the Midwest in 1999. Kolar’s teams won the GLIAC Championship in all four years of his career. The 1998 team reached the national semifinals, marking the best NCAA finish in Northwood Athletics history.
