Bio

Tom Rathburn ranks 13th in school history in points (1,463) and seventh in rebounding (680) despite playing just three seasons at Northwood after transferring from Ohio State University. He averaged more than 20 points and nine rebounds per game in all three seasons at Northwood. In his junior season, Rathburn averaged 29.5 points and 11.4 rebounds per game. He teamed with Jerry Pettway to form the highest scoring teammates in the country that season. As a sophomore, Rathburn produced 20.7 points and 13.1 rebounds per game. Rathburn earned the Brewer Memorial award in 1966, which was given annually to Northwood’s most outstanding athlete.
