Bio

Carina Kaempfer was a key part of Northwood’s climb to the top of the GLIAC in women’s tennis in the early 2000’s. She was named GLIAC Player of the Year in both of her seasons at Northwood, compiling an overall record of 52-6 in singles and 47-11 in doubles. She never lost a conference match, leading the Timberwolves to the 2001 GLIAC championship. An All-American both seasons she play, she became the first women’s player in school history to earn the ITA National Senior Player of the Year in 2003. Kaempfer placed third at the ITA Small College Championships as an individual in 2002. A two-time First Team All-GLIAC honoree, Kaempfer led Northwood to the NCAA Sweet 16 in both of her seasons. Carina is the sister of fellow Hall of Fame inductee Markus Kaempfer.
