Bio

Dedrick Roper became the first player in school history to reach the National Football League following his career at Northwood. After transferring from Michigan State, Roper earned All-GLIAC honors in both of his seasons as a Timberwolf. He earned Second Team All-America honors following the 2003 season when finished the season with 19 tackles for loss, 10 sacks and three forced fumbles. At the end of the season he played in the Cactus Bowl, a national NCAA DII all-star game. Following his Northwood career, Roper signed a free agent contract with the Pittsburgh Steelers. After a short stint with the Rams, Roper played from 2005-07 with the Philadelphia Eagles.
