Bio

Lisa Shepard was one of the most dominant players in Northwood softball history. She finished her career with a 68-38 record in the circle with a 1.22 ERA.  Shepard registered the second most wins and the highest winning percentage (.638) in school history.  She struck out a remarkable 792 batters in her career, 184 more than any other pitcher in Northwood history. Shepard guided Northwood to the NCAA Tournament for the only time in school history in 2005, leading the team to the Regional final. Shepard was the key player for the team as the Timberwolves won GLIAC Championships in 2004 and 2005. In those seasons, Shepard went 47-12 with a 0.86 ERA while striking out 473 batters in 390.2 innings of work. She owns the two highest single-season marks in wins (24, 23) and strikeouts (274, 199) as well as the two lowest season ERAs (0.95, 0.78) at Northwood.  A two-time First Team All-GLIAC honoree, Shepard has 10 more career shutouts than anyone in school history (24).
