In his 10 years as head coach, Kevin Fegan led the volleyball team to some of the best results for any program in Northwood history. He averaged 26 wins a season and finished his career with a 264-102 record. His .721 win percentage is the best in program history. In his first six seasons as head coach, Northwood won the NAIA District 23 title. The 1991 team set a school record with 36 wins and finished third at the NAIA National Tournament, which is the best finish for any women’s team in school history. He also coached the 1988 team to the second highest win total in program history, finishing the year 34-8. After the program transitioned to Division II in 1993, Fegan led Northwood to a 77-22 record over the final three years of his career. He coached a total of 11 All-Americans in his time as head coach
