Bio

Johannes Sterobo was a standout in the classroom and as a goalkeeper for the men’s soccer team at Northwood University. He owns nearly every goalkeeping record at Northwood, including career wins (45), save percentage (.765), goals against average (0.96) and shutouts (28). Sterobo also has the top-two season in totals in school history, winning 14 games in 2014 and 17 games in 2015. Both the 2014 and the 2015 team won GLIAC Championships and reached the NCAA Tournament. The 2015 team reached the regional final and ended the year ranked 10th nationally. A two-time CoSIDA Academic All-American, Sterobo was named the Capital One Division II Academic All-American of the Year in 2015. He is the only athlete in Northwood history to earn Academic All-American of the Year honors.
