Baseball Bounces Back With 17-3 Win At Ashland

RECAP: Baseball bounces back with 17-3 win at Ashland Sunday afternoon (April 18).
GAME HIGHLIGHTS
- The game was scoreless into the fourth when the Timberwolves broke through. Matt Magno got the Timberwolves on the board with a sacrifice fly to plate David Jeffers.
- Rhett Evans then made it 2-0 with an RBI single to make the score 2-0 in the fourth.
- Northwood expanded their lead with a pair of solo home runs in the top of the fifth. Carson Longstreth and Jacob Rybicki each left the yard to make the score 4-0.
- NU then put together a big seventh inning, which got going on a squeeze bunt by Michael Kararm that scored Travis Janes to make the score 5-0.
- Jeffers followed with an RBI single to push the advantage to 6-0.
- Cole Brooks capped the rally with a three-run homer, putting the Timberwolves on top 9-0.
- The Eagles got on the board for the first time in the bottom of the inning with three runs.
- NU came right back in the top of the eighth with another big inning, which got going with a Jeffers RBI single that made the score 10-3.
- Magno plated two more on a two-run single to give Northwood a 12-3 edge.
- NU then made it 14-3 on an Evans two-run single.
- Northwood continued to add on in the ninth with three more runs, thanks to three consecutive run-scoring doubles. Jeffers, Brooks and Magno all brought home runs to put the Timberwolves on top 17-3
