Baseball Drops 7-6 Contest At Saginaw Valley

RECAP: Saginaw Valley rallies in the ninth inning to defeat Northwood baseball 7-6 Sunday afternoon (May 2).
GAME HIGHLIGHTS
- Northwood got on the board first in the second on a Logan Briggs RBI single.
- NU then made it 2-0 in the third in a Cole Brooks RBI fielder's choice.
- The Cardinals fought back in the bottom of the third with two runs to level the score 2-2.
- Connor Kin continued his big weekend with an RBI double in the fifth to put the Timberwolves on top 3-2.
- SVSU tied the score in the sixth on an error.
- Matt Magno doubled in a run in the seventh, which was followed by a Jacob Rybicki RBI single to put the Timberwolves on top 5-3.
- After the Cardinals scored on a wild pitch in the eighth to get within one, Northwood got the lead back to two at 6-3 thanks to a Ryan Chargo solo home run.
- The Cardinals had not homered in the game, but came through in the ninth inning with a two-run shot to tie the game and a solo homer to win the game .
