RECAP: Baseball sees its season come to an end with a 9-4 loss in the semifinals of the NCAA Midwest Regional Championships Saturday night (May 29).

GAME HIGHLIGHTS

  • Trevecca struck first with a run in the top of the third inning.
  • Northwood came back with a rally in the bottom of the third, starting with a David Jeffers RBI single to score Travis Janes.
  • Matt Magno then brought home another run with an RBI double.
  • Connor Kin made it 4-1 with a two-run, two-out single to score Cole Brooks and Magno.
  • The Trojans came right back with five runs of their own in the fifth and three runs in the sixth to take a 9-4 lead.
  • Northwood had chances over the final six innings, leaving five runners on base. That included having the bases loaded in the ninth.
