Baseball Makes It Six Straight Victories With 9-4 Win At Indianapolis

RECAP: Northwood baseball extends winning streak to five with a pair of wins at Indianapolis, taking game one 11-6 before earning a 5-4 victory in game two Saturday (February 26)

GAME ONE HIGHLIGHTS

  • Northwood got off to a fast start in the top of the first inning, starting with an Alex Cole RBI double.
  • Khale Showers made it a three-run first inning with a two RBI single.
  • NU added two more in the second, starting with a Myles Beale RBI single.
  • David Jeffers then made it 5-0 on a sacrifice fly.
  • The Greyhounds began to comeback in the bottom of the second, plating a pair of runs.
  • UINDY added single runs in the third and the fifth to get within one at 5-4.
  • Northwood got one back in the top of the sixth thanks to a Carson Longstreth RBI single.
  • NU then made it 7-4 in the top of the seventh thanks to Rhett Evans, who was hit by a pitch with the bases loaded.
  • Evans then came through with an RBI triple in the top of the nine with an RBI triple, which was followed by a Ben Clark run-scoring single made the final score 9-4.
