RECAP: Northwood baseball's offense comes alive late in a 17-11 win at Cedarville Friday (March 18) as the Timberwolves complete at three-game sweep.

GAME HIGHLIGHTS (NINE INNINGS)

  • Cedarville plated two runs in the opening inning to take a 2-0
  • Northwood got on the board in the fourth inning thanks to Alex Cole coming home on a wild pitch.

  • Cedarville tied the game in the bottom of the seventh with two runs to send the game to the seventh with the score 6-6.
  • The key inning of the game proved to be the eighth, when Northwood broke the game open with nine runs. Jeffers started the big inning with an RBI single.
  • Myles Beale brought home a run with a bases-loaded walk, which was followed by an Evans RBI single that made the score 9-6.
  • Cole continued his big day with a three-run double that pushed the advantage to 12-6.
  • NU rounded out the nine-run inning with a three-run error by the Yellow Jackets that made the score 15-6.
  • Cedarville did not go away, responding with a four-run inning of their own to send the game to the ninth with the Timberwolves leading 15-10.
  • Northwood added two more runs in the ninth thanks to an RBI double from Blake Salamon and another RBI single from Alex Cole
  • The Yellow Jackets scored one in the ninth to make the final 17-11.
