  • Magno got NU within one in the third inning with a solo homer that made the score 4-3.
  • DU got one back in the fourth, sending the game to the fifth with the score 5-3.
  • The Timberwolves came up with a big fifth inning to take the lead, which got going with a Magno RBI single.
  • Northwood tied the game on a Khale Showers double that made the score 5-5.
  • After an Evans RBI fielder's choice, Blake Salamon pushed the NU lead to 7-5 with an RBI single.
  • Ben Clark finished off the six-run fifth inning with a two-run double that made the score 9-5.
  • The Panthers responded with one in the fifth and three in the sixth to tie the score at 9-9.
  • NU came right back in the top of the seventh with three runs, two of which came home on a two-run error.
  • A sac fly by Ben Clark put the Timberwolves on top 12-9 heading to the bottom of the seventh.

  • Northwood responded once again in the top of the eighth with two runs, thanks to an RBI double from Showers and an RBI single from Beale.
  • Davenport came right back in the bottom of the eighth, bringing home five runs to take a 17-14 lead.
  • The Timberwolves did not go away quietly, as Showers brought home two runs to get NU within one at 17-16.
  • NU had the tying run on third and the go-ahead run on first with one out, but were unable to plate the tying rn.
