Baseball Earns 14-1 Win Over Rochester

RECAP: Northwood earns a 14-1 victory over Rochester on Wednesday afternoon (April 20).
GAME HIGHLIGHTS
- Rhett Evans got the Timberwolf scoring started with a two-run single to left center in the opening inning.
- A home run to left field by Blake Salamon scored three and have NU the 5-0 lead in the bottom of the first inning.
- The Warriors responded with a home run in the second to get within 5-1.
- A single by Matt Magno drove in Carson Longstreth to extend the lead to 6-1 in the second.
- Longstreth plated David Jeffers with a single in the bottom of the third.
- Later in the inning, a two-run single from Magno gave NU the 9-1 lead.
- Maalik Houston scored on an error, which was followed by a Jeffers triple to right center to two additional runs.
- An RBI single by Evan Weigand brought Jeffers home, making the score 13-1 after four innings.
- Jeffers added a run in the bottom of the seventh with an RBI single to round out the scoring at 14-1.
