  • Northwood got on the board in the top of the second on a Rhett Evans RBI groundout.

GAME TWO HIGHLIGHTS (SEVEN INNINGS)

  • After scoring 10 runs in the first three games with no home runs, the Timberwolves scored four runs in the first inning of game two with two home runs. Caden Duryea and Rhett Evans both connected on two-run homers to give Northwood the early lead.
  • Malone got one back in the first to make the score 4-1.
  • Blake Salamon gave Northwood its third two-run home run of the game in the top of the third to get the lead to 6-1.
  • After Malone got a pair back in the bottom of the third, an error by the Pioneers in the fifth plated a run for the Timberwolves and made the score 7-3.
  • Joey Johnston pushed the lead to 8-3 for Northwood with a sixth-inning double.
  • In the seventh, Evans registered his second triple of the day, scoring two runs.
  • Cole rounded out the scoring for Northwood with a single to bring home Evans and make the score 11-3.
  • Malone scored a pair of runs in the bottom of the inning before Northwood closed the door on the victory.
