GAME HIGHLIGHTS (NINE INNINGS)

  • SVSU took advantage of an error in the bottom of the second inning to go up 1-0.
  • Northwood tied the game in the top of he third on a wild pitch that scored Jacob Rybicki.
  • The Timberwolves' defense let them down in the fourth inning. NU had two errors in the inning, allowing the Cardinals to score four unearned runs on just one hit.
  • Blake Salamon got Northwood back into the game with a three-run homer to right center in the top of the sixth. That was his 16th, a new school record for home runs in a season.
  • The Timberwolves had runners in scoring position in both the seventh and the eighth but were unable to plate the tying run.
