GAME HIGHLIGHTS (NINE INNINGS)

  • The game was scoreless in the bottom of the fourth when Northwood broke through. After a Rhett Evans triple, Alex Cole put the Timberwolves on the board with an RBI single.
  • The score remained 1-0 until the sixth when Quincy got a run-scoring double and a two-run homer to go up 3-1.
  • QU then got a two-run homer in the seventh and a solo shot in the eighth to push their lead to 6-1.
  • Northwood plated a pair in the ninth, starting with a Myles Beale triple that scored Joey Johnston.
  • Matt Magno capped the scoring with a run-scoring single to bring home Beale.
  • The key to the game was missed scoring opportunities for the Timberwolves, particularly early in the game.
