RECAP: On a day senior Matt Magno sets a program record for RBIs in a career, Northwood baseball falls behind early and is unable to recover in a 13-9 loss at Maryville Friday (February 23).

GAME HIGHLIGHTS

  • Northwood started the game fast, going up 1-0 in the top of the first on an RBI double by Matt Magno.
  • NU made it 2-0 later in the first on a sacrifice fly by Blake Salamon.
  • The Saints broke the game open in the second and third innings, scoring seven in the second and three in the third to take a 10-2 lead.
  • Northwood got back a pair in the fourth on an error, making the score 10-4.
  • The score remained 10-4 until the bottom of the seventh when back-to-back home runs by the Saints plated three runs to push their advantage to 13-4.
