Baseball Earns Split With Hillsdale - NU Takes Dramatic 9-8 13 Inning Victory In Game Two

RECAP: Northwood baseball earns a series win by splitting a pair of games against Hillsdale Sunday (April 21), dropping game one 16-2 before earning a dramatic 9-8 win in 13 innings in game two.
GAME ONE HIGHLIGHTS (SEVEN INNINGS)
- The Chargers set the tone for the contest in the top of the first inning, plating seven runs
- A Myles Beale RBI single gave Northwood a run in the bottom of the first, putting the score at 7-1.
- The Hillsdale offense continued their strong showing in the second, scoring six more runs to extend their lead to 13-1.
- HC added three runs in the fourth to make the score 16-1.
- Blake Salamon rounded out the scoring in game one with a solo homerun to right field as the Timberwolves lost the contest, 16-2.

- In the thirteenth inning, Devries stepped up to the plate and delivered a walk-off RBI single to left center, clinching the dramatic 9-8 victory for the Timberwolves.
