Football Drops 51-17 Contest At Davenport

INSIDE THE GAME
- Davenport set the tone for the day on the opening drive, going 76 yards in 2:46 to go up 7-0.
- The Panthers followed with a nearly identical scoring drive on their next possession, this time covering 74 yards in six plays in 2:35 to lead 14-0.
- After a DU field goal made the score 17-0, Northwood got on the board early in the second. NU went 28 yards in eight plays, capping the drive with a Max Gonos 42-yard field goal.
- Davenport dominated the rest of the half, however, scoring 20 unanswered point in the final 7:12 to take a 37-3 lead to the break.
- The Timberwolves found the endzone for the first time on the day on the opening drive of the third quarter, as Nate Gomez found John Hall for a 44-yard touchdown pass that made the score 37-10.
- The Panthers responded with two straight touchdowns before Northwood rounded out the scoring thanks to Hall once again. His 17-yard TD reception from Jake Kelbert made the final score 51-17.
