Football Loses At Tiffin 48-3

INSIDE THE GAME

• Both teams punted to open the game, but the Timberwolves muffed the punt return on the Tiffin punt, giving the Dragons the ball at the NU 16. Four plays later, the Dragons found the endzone for a 7-0 lead.
• Tiffin drove 91-yards late in the second quarter added a another touchdown late in the first quarter to make the score 14-0 after one.
• After a Dragon field goal early in the second, Northwood put together an 11-play drive that reached the Tiffin 33 yard line. But the drive stalled, resulting in a punt downed at the Tiffin four.
• TU responded with a 96-yard drive, capped by a 72-yard touchdown to make the score 24-0 at halftime.
• The Dragons kept the momentum going right away in the third quarter, returning the second half kickoff 77 yards to the Northwood 15. Three plays later, Tiffin found the end zone again to make the score 31-0.
• Tiffin connected on a 27-yard field goal with 8:10 remaining in the third to push their advantage to 34-0.
• Northwood got on the board late in the third quarter, as the Timberwolves drove all the way to the Tiffin two yard line before settling for a Max Gonos 24-yard field goal that made the score 34-3.
• TU came right back after the Northwood field goal with another touchdown, sending the game to the fourth with the score 41-3.
• Another Tiffin touchdown came early in the fourth that made the Dragons lead 48-3, which proved to be the final score in the game.
