Jacob Barlage Named G-MAC Offensive Athlete of the Week
MIDLAND, MICH. – Junior quarterback Jacob Barlage from the Northwood University football team has been named the Great Midwest Athletic Conference (G-MAC) Offensive Athlete of the Week.
This marks the second straight week Northwood has earned an Athlete of the Week, joining Stephen Douglas, who was named the Defensive Athlete of the Week September 18.
Barlage led Northwood to a dominant 68-14 win over Lake Erie. He went 13-19 passing (68.4 percent) for 288 yards and three touchdowns. He also added 25 yards rushing. Northwood's 68 points are the most for the program in a game since the end of the 2005 season when the Timberwolves scored 70 against Northern Michigan.
Northwood will travel to Hillsdale Saturday (September 30). Kick off is scheduled for 1 p.m.
