Men's Basketball Drops 80-60 Contest To Lake Superior State

FIRST HALF
- Northwood scored the first two points of the game, but that proved to be their lone lead of the contest
- A 12-2 Laker run put LSSU on top 24-12.
- The Timberwolves got within 10 at one point, but the Lakers remained in control the remainder of the half.
- Their 50-28 lead at the break matched the biggest lead of the opening 20 minutes.
- Northwood shot 44.4 percent overall in the half, going 12-27 overall. The Timberwolves were 1-5 from 3-point range and 3-7 from the foul line (42.9 percent).
- Lake Superior State had a big half on the offensive end, going 22-34 overall (64.7 percent). The Lakers also went 4-8 from 3-point range (50.0 percent) and 2-3 from the foul line (66.7 percent).
SECOND HALF
- After LSSU pushed their lead to 59-35, Northwood started to play better and cut the lead to 59-45 with 11:58 remaining in the game.
- That is as close as NU would get, however. The Lakers got the lead to 25 two more times before winning by 20.
- NU ended the second half at 42.3 percent overall (11-26) while going 2-5 from 3-point range (40.0 percent).
- LS fell back to 37.9 percent from the floor in the second half (11-29) but did go 7-9 from the foul line (77.8 percent).
