Men's Basketball Defeats Northern Michigan 81-72

FIRST HALF
- The opening 12 minutes of the game was closely contested, with the largest lead for either team standing at four points.
- Northwood was the better team the remainder of the half, extending their lead to as many as 13 before settling for a 35-25 lead at the break.
- NU shot 48.4 percent from the floor in the half, making 15-31 overall. The Timberwolves were 1-4 from the 3-point line (25.0 percent) and 4-6 from the foul line (66.7 percent).
- Northwood's defense was strong in the half, holding the Wildcats to a 32.3 percent from the floor (10-31) overall and 2-9 from 3-point range (22.2 percent).
SECOND HALF
- After NMU got off to a good start in the half and cut the Northwood lead to four at 37-33, the Timberwolves made a push.
- The Timberwolves got their lead up to as many as 19 at 70-51 with 4:34 remaining.
- The Wildcats fought back late to get within six (75-69) with 1:05 remaining before Northwood closed out the win at 81-72.
- NU was 15-32 from the floor in the second half, good for 46.9 percent overall. Northwood was 4-8 from 3-point range (50.0 percent) and 12-17 from the foul line (70.6 percent).
- Northern Michigan jumped up to 47.5 percent (19-40) from the floor in the second half. The Wildcats were 6-18 from the 3-point line (33.3 percent) and 3-5 from the foul line (60.0 percent) in the final 20 minutes.
