Men's Basketball Loses Exhibition Game At Eastern Michigan 79-57

RECAP: Eastern Michigan pulls away late to defeat Northwood men's basketball 79-57 Sunday afternoon (December 5).
FIRST HALF
- Eastern Michigan led nearly the entire opening half, but were never able to break the game open.
- The Eagles led by as many as nine in the first half and were up 28-20 with 3:37 remaining when NU finished strong.
- The Timberwolves got the lead down to four before the EMU lead eventually stood at 34-29 at the break.
- Northwood finished the first half shooting 48.0 percent from the floor (12-25) while making 3-9 from 3-point range and 2-4 from the foul line.
- Eastern Michigan finished the half at 54.2 percent (13-24). EMU missed all four of their 3-point attempts and went 8-12 from the foul line.
SECOND HALF
- Eastern Michigan started the second half fast, pushing their advantage to 43-29 with 16:50 remaining in the game.
- NU responded with an 11-1 run to cut the advantage to 44-40 with 13:42 remaining.
- The Eagles lead stood at 56-52 with 7:52 remaining when EMU made the key run to earn the win.
- Eastern Michigan went on a 17-2 burst from the under eight minute media timeout to the under four minute stoppage to go up 73-54.
- NU got no closer than 18 the rest of the way.
- NU fell back to 31.3 percent from the floor in the second half, going 10-32 overall. Northwood was 1-4 from beyond the arc and 7-12 from the foul line.
- Eastern Michigan had a strong half on offense in the second, making 16-30 overall (53.3 percent). The Eagles also went 5-9 from beyond the 3-point arc.
